If you would like to commission a piece uniquely yours, please include as much of the following information as you can.  It will help Lucy understand what you are looking for and reduce delays in setting up, producing, and delivering your artwork to you in a timely fashion.

  • What style do you prefer? (Browse our store for current pieces you really like the style of or provide links to pieces you find online to inspire Lucy to your preferred style.)

  • What subject matter do you want?  Choose any subject real or fictional (if it is fictional, give as much detail about your vision as you can.)  Yes, I can do pet and people portraits if you provide some photos of them for me to work from.

  • What color(s)/scheme are you working with?  Remember, colors can look different between monitors, so if you can give something more physically concrete - paint chip color of your walls, Pantone color key, etc. it will help make sure we are on the same page about what "red" or "green" or "brown" you are looking for.  I do not mind going to my hardware store to pick up paint chip samples to work from.  Its one of the fun things about what I do!

  • When do you need this by? Remember, it is going to take time to plan, produce, and (depending on the media) cure your piece.  There there is the shipping time afterward.  The more lead time the better.  We need a minimum of 3 weeks lead time for originals in acrylics, watercolors, colored pencils, pastels, markers, etc.  Oils need a minimum 12 week lead time most of the year and may need longer depending on the weather conditions.  Sculptures lead time is going to be on a case by case basis, but as a general rule, the larger the piece, the longer the lead time.  Please give us the maximum window you can by giving the date it must be delivered by and if there is any further discussion needed, we will contact you about it.
